Born in Basel, Alex Horisberger was educated at Kunstgewerbeschule (Basel, CH) and Matura (Basel, CH). Horisberger has an MA in product design (Pforzheim, Germany) and won a scholarship at UIC (Chicago, USA). Completing a thesis at Swatch (Grenchen, CH), Horisberger subsequently worked at Puma (Munich, Germany), Fila (Montebelluna, Italy) and Adidas (Herzogenaurach, Germany) before moving to BASF (Ludwigshafen, Germany).
